Professor Tan Thiam Soon
Professor Tan Thiam Soon is the President of Singapore Institute of Technology. He used to assist the Provost in setting educational directions and policies for the National University of Singapore in ensuring high academic standards and education quality assurance. Prof Tan is currently a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His past positions include Vice-Dean for Undergraduate Programmes in the Faculty of Engineering, and later Dean of Admissions from 2005 to 2007.
Professor Heng Chye Kiang
Professor Heng Chye Kiang is the Dean of School of Design (SDE) and Environment at the National University of Singapore. In 2009 he set up at SDE the Centre for Sustainable Asian Cities of which he is currently the advisor. He studied architecture at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture, and urban design at the Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de I’Etat. He did his PhD at the University of California at Berkeley.
Professor Ng Wun Jern
Professor Ng Wun Jern graduated with BSc (Civil Engineering – QMC-London University), MSc (Water Resources Engineering) and PhD (Birmingham University), and had postdoctoral training at Kyoto University. He is a licensed professional engineer.He researches water and wastewater management issues such as water quality, and treatment science and technology. He argues for a sustainable approach to environmental management through energy recovery.
