Feng Lun Interviewed by Lianhe Zaobao
_Feng Lun is interviewed by Lianhe Zaobao_
During his recent visit to Singapore, Dr Feng Lun, Chairman of World Future Foundation, was interviewed by Lianhe Zaobao, the largest local Chinese newspaper.
Dr Feng uses the word, "rationality", to explain the purpose of this visit and his devotion to philanthropy. He believes that the growth of Chinese private enterprises made them reposition the relationship between enterprise and the society and fulfil more social responsibility. Therefore, it is not difficult to understand why he has been dedicated to philanthropy — He set up China's first private foundation, created China's largest environmental protection NGO and registered WFF at Singapore. In his view, Singapore's legal structure is sound and the technology is advanced. To set up a foundation in such an international context will help to gather the public-spirited Chinese entrepreneurs from around the world. He hopes that WFF will "[operate] just like a boutique", and WFF's financial support for environmental research will "have a chain effect".
