Lu Bo Attends China Philanthropists Salon

Ms Yang Lan, Chairperson of Sun Culture Foundation, initialized the “From Success to Significance – China Philanthropists Salon” in Beijing on May 6, 2010.
As the event partner, Columbia University sent a group of philanthropy experts to give the following talks: “Ingredients for Successful Philanthropy” from Hildy J. Simmons, Chair of the New York City Board of Correction; “Using Your Expertise to Add Value in the Nonprofit Sector” from Robert Kasdin, Senior Executive President of Columbia University; and “As a Donor, Be a good Partner” from Kathy Okun, Senior Deputy Vice President for Development at Columbia University. Additionally, Ms Jin Jinping, Associate Professor at Peking University Law School, discussed how to carry out philanthropy in China.
The purpose of the salon is to help Chinese philanthropists better understand philanthropy in a concentrated and systematic way, differentiate the roles of non-profit organizations from for-profit organizations, and receive advice for implementing effective philanthropy prograMs
Mr Lu Bo, Managing Director of World Future Foundation, was invited to attend the event together along with 30 other famous philanthropists and entrepreneurs.
