WFF and SDE Sign MoU on Future Cooperation

On June 26, 2010, Dr Feng Lun, Chairman of World Future Foundation (WFF), and Prof Heng Chye Kiang, Dean of School of Design and Environment (SDE) at National University of Singapore (NUS), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and decided the future direction of their cooperation.

WFF and SDE share the same vision in environmental and sustainable development. Having complementary strengths, both parties agree to collaborate in mutual areas of interest. Pertaining to the study on the “Development Models for Future Metropolises”, both parties agree to collaborate in the following areas: Trophy Design Competition for “WFF PhD Prize in Environmental and Sustainability Research”; Book Series on Study of High Capacity Vertical Cities; Vertical City Exhibition at Singapore; and the Global Colleague Student Design Competition for Vertical City. Both parties shall commit time and resources to ensure the success of these activities.

From its inception 50 years ago, SDE has produced over 5,000 graduates who have contributed to the design, development and management of building a better environment both locally and internationally. The vision of SDE is "to be the leading global institution for excellence in education and research in Architecture, Industrial & Urban Design, Building and Real Estate".
